As CEO of a national women’s networking organization, I am responsible for finding, developing,and training leaders to support our community. After reading “What Makes You A Leader?” it struck me that much of what Stacey Montgomery is teaching our children serves as great reminders to us as adults in leadership roles.

As a mom of three teenagers and as a CEO, I value communication, respect, teamwork, and gratitude. This guided journal was able to not only list these as important qualities of a leader, but also explain how and why they are so important. Bringing awareness to traits such as listening, dependability, and volunteering, takes emphasis off of some of the more negative traits of leadership such as bossiness and being a know-it-all.

I am confident this guided journal will support the budding leaders in our children today and guide them as they grow into strong, fair, and dependable adults.
